Our friend Jonathan Hook took these pictures for us. We are so excited the with how they turned out. Jonathan is an amazing photographer, and we couldn't be happier. We braved the cold fall weather because we wanted to catch the colors before they are covered by snow. Enjoy the photos!

Ben Folds Concert

So I'm realizing that Chris and I literally have no pictures together. Either we only take pictures of Quinn or we forget the camera on our outings. But...I do have pictures of Ben Folds and the Spokane Symphony. We went as an early birthday present for Chris and Neal. Also joining us were Amy and Jonathan Hook and our neighbor Caleb. The concert was very good and the venue (Fox Theatre) was gorgeous. Thanks to the Gutman's for watching Quinn so we could go out! :)

Pumpkin Carving

We had such a good time with friends over for pumpkin carving and chili. At one point you could look over into the living room and see an array of pumpkins and pumpkin bits along with six kids and their parents busily creating pumpkin masterpieces. It is definitely more fun now to watch kids carve pumpkins than doing it yourself. I was content to eat chili and observe! Mer was holding Quinn and Chris was assisting the pumpkin carvers. Quinn Marie

Quinn was born Monday, August 24th at 2:03 p.m.  She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 19 inches.  Enjoy the pictures!:)

I was so blessed to have my dear friends put together a wonderful baby shower. I was spoiled! (Well, Quinn is getting spoiled through them) We had a really nice evening visiting together and playing some fun games. We were all surprised by the nursery rhyme fill-in-the-blank...we need to do some studying! And, everyone went BIG on the guess how wide around the preggo lady is - thanks a lot! :) All in all it really was the best and Quinn and I are so lucky to have this much love and support!

Coldplay Concert

Pregnant in 100 degree heat...what were we thinking?!

The ladies! :)

If you haven't been to a Coldplay concert then you are missing out! We braved the 100 degree heat to hear Coldplay at the Gorge. It is a gorgeous location with views of the Columbia River - the only problem was the extreme heat - there was no shade, no cool breeze, and even when the sun went down it was still HOT. The music was awesome and during one song they shot hundreds of thousands of tissue paper butterflies into the air - it was truly surreal. You can't beat a summer concert with some great friends and good music!

Finished Bedding Set

Thanks to my mom (the Beppe-to-be) we have a beautiful bedding set for Quinn. My mom has been sending me pieces of the set over the last couple weeks and now I have it all put together! The room is starting to feel "done" - but I'm still not ready for her arrival! I feel like there are a million more things to do (pack a hospital bag for one... and install a car seat... and finish projects at work... and... ummm, yeah, this is a bit stressful!!) Oh, we also have a really comfy glider chair thanks to the other grandparents-to-be, Chris' parents. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this room complete! Now we wait... ;)

Growth Ultrasound

Well, I've had the privilege of gestational diabetes for the last 5 weeks so that means I get some extra ultrasounds to monitor the size of Baby Rockwell and keep tabs on her progress. Although the extra doctor appointments and food restrictions have been annoying to say the least - it is fun to sneak a peek at her more often than we would normally! So...here are some pictures from my ultrasound today. She is weighing in at around 5  lbs, 6 oz (right on track!) and everything looks great! The doctor had no concerns about her size or development. I know the pictures still look a bit alien, but Chris and I think she is sooo cute (of course!). She also has chubby cheeks and a nice crop of hair forming. Good luck deciphering the photos! :)

Back in the day

Starting this blog got me thinking about how Chris and I started out together - and also about my other blog friend and best friend Carly Pickering. I have some pictures from our first double date with the Pickerings (then a Miracle and Pickering) in Spokane when Chris came out to visit me at college. I also have a picture of probably one of our first dates after we met. I was so embarrassed to take the picture because we just met (and you don't want to be the crazy girl who takes pictures with a guy too soon...) but my friend insisted. I'm glad she did - and now eight years later we are married with a baby on the way! Who knew! :) We all look so young...those were the days. :)

Home Decorating Update
